I suggest you increase the amount of posts per page. I didn't see it in the profile options so I think there should at least be the opportunity to change the amount shown per page if you wanted. 15 per page isn't enough for me. It feels like I spend more time switching to the next page than reading the actual page.

I always wondered how this worked. It seemed a sort of arbitary thing that the Brains did every now and again or when they felt like it. A bit like cleaning out the fridge every noe and again.

Actually, 15 is the Proboards default value and has never been changed. Pages are different lengths because posts are different lengths; the post count per page is always constant at 15.

Doesn't worry me one way or the other. But this does clear up one point. I always wondered why the pages seemed to have a whole lotta entries, even when Hamish has posted something about the latest inanities of Dubya. They are kinda long.

But hey, Hamish, I like 'em. Keep up the good work.

Most of my reading is done by catching up with posts on a daily basis. That means I have to scroll down to catch the latest post. Scrolling through 20 takes longer than scrolling through 15. For people reading pages and pages at a time I guess more posts per page makes sense.

I like it the way it is. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But 20 isn't that many more than 15, so I won't bellyache either way.

For the Public Room, more threads listed per page might be a good idea. There are now, as Lager pointed out, several sticky threads at the top of the first page, and since I can't get online every day lately, I spend a lotta time on page 2 and even 3. I can't see removing those stickies, so maybe we should add a few more thread titles.

Longer page? (EDIT: this is now the third time I've written essentially the same thing in this thread. If no one backs me up this time I'll finally shut my piehole)
