Yeah, it's bullpoo. Hitler was a one-ball man; Stalin, like Napoleon, was a short guy with a complex: 5 foot 4, and I hear tell that of all the men that served in his cabinet over the years, the only ones who survived him were all shorter than him. In other words, the Soviet Union was controlled by evil commie smurfs. Mao's overcompensation? Dunno.

" Mao also had an undescended testicle and was infertile..." But didn't Mao also have several children by his earlier wives? Didn't he lose a son in the Korean War? Hmmm...

Uh, that's my point: I don't consider The Private Life of Mao to be that accurate. It is my understanding that he did lose a son in the Korean War, but that quote was taken from that book.

Gotcha. That line didn't sink in when I read it in the book. I think Mao's kids were pretty heavily publicized- especially the Korean War Hero one whom I understand was intended to be Mao's heir to the throne. And one would think even a Chinese doctor should be able to count to two.
This at least helps keep afloat my own theory: Mao is still alive and well and quietly lurking around Tiananmen, where he hawks copies of his books and hits on the juicier turista babes.

Sorry, to burst your bubble, but many veneral diseases can result in subsequent infertility. I believe that was the case with Mao. I don't have the book with me, but I think (if I remember correctly) that all his children were born before the mid-fifties. Which would have been the time period he was infected. Don't worry though, I have been wrong before.

I think you're right, Little Fish. I think the kids came in the 20s and 30s. If the infertility came from VD and not from being a mononad, the good doctor could still be accurate...
It's OK...it's still possible that they didn't tell the doctor that Mao faked his death so he could go hang with Elvis.

God I love this forum, I am learning so much about how men think. I can't remember the last time that I have chatted with women about how many ovaries a famous person had. "Hey Dolores, how many ovaries do you think Madame Curie had left, playing around with that radiation stuff do you think she had one that worked?" I don't know, WTF are you talking about and who cares. I do know she had this one eyebrow thing happening like that Spanish chick, the artist, they made a movie about her. Do you think having X-rays gives you more facial hair. Gross

I can't remember the last time that I have chatted with women about how many ovaries a famous person had. Broads. Anyone with a lick of sense knows that things that can't be seen aren't important. Sheesh.

Marie only had one eyebrow? I am heartbroken (can't find suitable smiley). At least she had her work to console her after her famous husband died of cancer. Whatsisname, the nuclear physicist.
Unfortunately, my dear, scientists and other real men only consider important the kinds of things they can hold in their hand: preferabley at parties.
Like pretzels or beer. Really, you guys . .
And i am moderately certain that no relative of the soong or song family ever married either of them.
PS: It isn't necessary to see your own nuts to know they are important. Trust me on this.

Do me a favor Duke! Look up Li Na and see if she wants to hook up for a cup of TEA... This is the daughter of Mao and our hero the lovely Chiang Qing.
Mao also had a son who was ---or is---schizo.
George 61 perhaps!

Sorry, Lag...haven't heard from Li Na in weeks now and no idea where she's gone. Let's face it...her days as a lady pro wrestler were about done anyway.

Found it fascinating that the Chinese are not interested in the biographies of either Mao or Deng. The students and teacher I was with in Beijing were totally disinterested and I had difficulty in trying to explain why history can be useful to them.

"We have 5000 years of culture, History isn't important" This kicks something loose: it occurs to me that Germany tossed their culture, philosophy and history aside once they gained serious economic momentum... and military might. I can't remember how that turned out.
