haven't seen a pelican, sorry. But I really like the way this room is shaping up. It's cleaned every day, the new curtains look good, and those matching cushion covers really set the tone. You girls have done a marvellous job.  ooops, sorry 'bout dat! |

Oh, dearie me! My goodness gracious! I am in trouble! The Babe is coming back a day earlier. I have to clean the bloody house. Fortunately, yesterday, I did the laundry. I figured I had 3 days to do the job. Oh, and I did wash the dishes last night, too......and the floor(for the most part) but the neighbour wandered in tracking mud all over my nice clean floor! So I have to do it again!  Fortunately, I only have two classes today, so I'll be ok. It's a terrible life! |

If so, make him do it all the time. (Which is why my roommate never does. The expectation would be there and he doesn't want to set the bar too high. Who says guys are stupid?) |

Today it rained. This has become a regular occurence. It didn't rain this much last spring. I asked my students and they told me that this year is an unusually wet year. I lived in Florida and can deal with daily rainshowers. But in Florida we had good drainage systems (mostly). There's a real problem with drainage in my little area of China. For example, this is my commute to work on a rainy day:  |

Today I learned: how to put a picture onto the saloon. I read Raoul's instructions but still had to attend the slow learner class and get my computer mentor Crippler to assist. (This is not a reflection on Raoul's explanation; rather on my computer skills.) And now I have a little red x. But photobucket is down. So I'm leaving it there for now.

Obviously I didn't learn how to do it. I'll try again another day. Sorry for the little red x picture guys. It's supposed to be a picture of the flooded alley that is my route to work.
I had to take the long way home tonight because there was so much water in the alley. Makes it rough for the food vendors who set up there each meal time.
And it's still raining.
Did you get the house clean, George?

LOL, I see the picture LOUD AND CLEAR!!!! hey Ruth maybe you could downsize that jpeg just a touch, YIKES. And your worried about water, lol, plenty of water for you. It is 2 computer screens wide and two computer screens long. Eye-glasses for all  Flooded alley, graffiti on walls, kinda looks something like the Bronx. Minus a whole myriad of other bronx characteristics. |

Thanks Millana. It's good to know that what I did was actually right. Now I just have to figure out how to shrink the original picture. Help anyone?  I really think it's time to invest in rubber boots. Or a boat. |
