I have been in Nanning now for 10 days or so, and NOT ONE HELLO! Unlike Guangdong where I got it every half hour or so.
The only thing I seem to get is the occasional polite and sincere Good Morning.
Stares, though, and when they stare at the girlie, it feels like they are being rude. She doesn't like it either.
Funny, though, also they seem to line up a bit better than in Guangdong or even HK for that matter, especially at govt things. Maybe I came in the Traditional Polite Season or something.
