I think it is a specific number like 14 posts, not their size, Con. Didn't anyone tell you? Size doesn't matter.

I'm not naming names, (their initials are Cons Fly Is Open) but some people have too much time on their hands and are thinking WAY too much...

Or at least they have too much time on their hands... BTW, yes, the magic number is 15 posts per page. Length doesn't matter. Thickness, however, is crucial...

Big cities like BJ have bicycle and pedestrian lanes, no motorcycle lanes. I think this is why The powers that be in BJ would like to see motorcycles banned altogether.. To many Chinese and WWCC type laowai that don't know that a motorcycle is not a pedestrian. So they act like regular traffic when it's convenient and like bicycles when it suit them. The 3 wheeled bicycles with motors are illegal here as well. Not that anybody ever paid attention.

It was either you or Raoul, and Raoul holds the power here. Plus, you are away right now, and I am drinking on your credit. Oh, My Shout guys! You can all thank George later!)

Canuck,
Just becuase Chinese traffic law is stoopid, don't blame the users. FYI bicycles and motorbikes use the same lane in most cities.
Other countries with very dense traffic (Singapore, UK, Hong Kong, Japan etc) and high poplulation successfully have motorcylces. They train their riders, drivers, cyclists and even pedestrians before they cause havoc on the street, that way cleverly avoiding accidents.
WWCC, what does that mean?
Western Wyoming Community College?

My favourite form of transport is the modi (motorbike taxi). My Chinese friends freak when I tell them - too dangerous, they cry. But is it fun - driving up one way streets the wrong way, slipping through red lights, driving on the footpath - all conspire to add interest to my days. And then they are about 3/4 chearer than normal taxis. Why on earth would you not use them?

Raoul holds the power here. A common misconception. Truth is I am in total thrall, and no little fear, of Lotus. Remember the photo of her in her leather dominatrix getup? Meanwhile: Wonder whether Con's castrated?

Meanwhile: Wonder whether Con's castrated? Here's a clue typing w/ 1 hand. I have the Chinese: san lu che- 3 tire car. Those I love to take- in a dense downtown, they should be the only motoor vehicles allowed. Jet skis in the canals of Suzhou? I reserve judgment for 2 weeks.

Haven't tried one yet - the girlie doesn't like them for some reason. Don't know why - she rides a bike herself. They look like fun.

CCWW sorry I picked this up from That's China magazine.. Westerner with Chinese Characteristics. It is very commmon in Beijing to see motorcycles crossing the street at pedestrian crosswalks, driving down sidewalks etc. driving in lanes meant for pedestrians and bicycles. Also many Chinese people drive their cars on sidewalks and pedestrian lanes. Anywhere they can squeeze I guess.

Your 3 wheelers have glass? Ours have air. And some have a kind of canopy thing - looks a little like they just took the good old rickshaw thingy and added a bike. The ones I want to try aren't made out of plywood and do have a motor.
