4000 per month in Weifang would keep you very well. You could live on her wages and bank yours. ;D ;D ;D I haven't seen my FAO for a couple of days, but I am keeping you in mind.

I sent my proposal to the FAO this morning. Anna was told that if I wanted less than 20hrs I should not ask for more than 3600 for 16hrs so that's what I asked. I still don't think it's much considering I'll be living with Anna so they're saving money. Ah well, I'll look for more money next contract.
George, let me know if you need me to email you my CV.

I had my 5th yearly exam today for my z visa. This time a woman doctor examined the upper part of my body without me having to remove my clothes, previously these young handsome doctors did, I protest. I paid the same amount of money for the previous years. What a scam.

We got conflicting information about medical exams just over 2 years ago when we were taking the big plunge. Finally decided that it might depend upon which embassy you get the visa from. Some embassy websites in the States said you needed one and some didn't include it. We went through Houston, Texas, and didn't need it. Got the medical when we arrived - had to go to another city to have it. I guess there are only certain places that can do the FT medical thing. School transported us and paid for it. Last year at contract renewal time, no medical mentioned. This year, we've got our new contracts and visas but have been told we need a medical update. They'll let us know when. That was more than a week ago.

Yeah, I like the way Raoul characterises these special hospitals that can do the tests - Something like "testing station for foreigners and other livestock"
