It would work for England, too.

It's snowing quite heavily here now. Not a big deal to most of you I'm sure, but I've been in this one pony town for almost 3 years and this is only the second time I've seen snow in the town. The first time there was only a dusting. I'm watching the kids trying to throw snowballs and they haven't a clue what they are doing. This is going to be easy pickings. He he he.
(to be fair, Lao Liu has three ponies, but he's ridiculously rich.)

They replaced the sliding doors at the school with swinging glass doors on the weekend. But they put them in backwards, so the locks are on the OUTSIDE. Today they came in to attach more locks to each door- easier than removing and switching the doors around, I suppose. There's a full inch gap between the double doors, so even when they closed them it was freezing inside.

What, they didn't hang a quilt or those stupid plastic strips just inside the door to make up for the huge gap? That's what they do here. In fact, here they leave the doors OPEN and expect the quilts and plastic strips to do the job.

Today the weather is perfect, the rain has washed the pollution away for a short while the sun is shining the sky is blue. And I would really love to grab a bunch of you folks and head to a beer garden. If there was one or grab two slabs of beer and head to Hu Ying park. Beautiful. Can't anyway, if you want to put beer on the table you have to work The boss told me that Dongguan is applying to be one of the global garden cities and they need spokespeople. He thought of me. Criterion Speak English Know a lot about the city Goodlooking

It snowed all day Monday. Now temperatures are in the 12 to 15 range and Spring seems here to stay.
Personally...I love Hebei summers.35 degress is just right for me..although last year it reached 40.A little too toasty even for me.
I seem to be in the minority in that I HATE winter. Not only do I dislike cold, but Chinese cities are so much livelier in the summer.

Gengrant you are an astute young fellow my knowledge of this city is quite limited, No problem I have bought a map and will quickly familiarize myself. Canny bitch that I am I have incoporated this into my high school lesson plan. I put the map on the board they tell me all the townships there are in Dongguan and the best and worst features of each town. The kids teach me how to pronounce the town names correctly they love correcting me, it empowers them and we are away. I want a sash, a bright red sash with something like Ms Dongguan 2006 I want memories in my life like that when I am slumped over a bar in Inner Mongolia wearing my frayed beer stained sash, I used to be someone.
I have just finished 9 hours of teaching 7 hours of adults and 2 hours of 12 year old kids I deserve a drink. Actually the day went well my lesson plans went off a treat, happy campers, good money now relax have a beer and get up at 5 tomorrow and do it again

I went for a walk tonight in the 'hood, and I remember now what I like about summer: everyone's outside! Way cool. It's been a crappy winter here in Suzhou, and I'm glad to pack the longlohns away. But over 30 and I'm in misery. That weather's coming soon enough. Thank god the school's lousy with A/C units.

I have just finished 9 hours of teaching ... get up at 5 tomorrow and do it again No wonder you love your new cook/housekeeper so much. You deserve her. You deserve another beer too. Barkeep! Over here. One for Ms Woza, the hardworking teacher, please Is now the time to mention that my new schedule at school consists of 4, that's right four, 45 minute lessons a week? It will increase to 6 whenever they create another class of interested students. And snow - We got about 6 inches on Saturday. Locals say they haven't had this much in about 20 years, which means my students have never seen so much snow in their lives. No wonder they are having such fun with it. It won't last long, though. Temps were above freezing most of yesterday and today's another bright sunny one. I gotta go get a picture of the snowman outside the restaurant before it melts away. They put a round head on top of a pyramid of snow and gave it a blue plastic bag scarf. Kinda cute.

That's my girl Ruth. Cheers. This women is great. I would love to be able to talk to her but my Cantonese is limited to, It doesn't matter I can count to five and tell the taxi driver to stop here
Todays weather is really wierd it's like living in a terranium. I mean wet not damp. I have never experienced anything like it .
I know this is off topic but my dog just brought me my shoes both of them. What he does is put his ball in one shoe and brings it from the door to my bedroom. The game is I take the ball out of the shoe and throw it. My shoes are covered with dog spit

Yeah, like your monthly salary that's more than double mine. The size of your classes. Living in Suzhou vs Xingcheng. Many things to think about, Con.
