I wouldn't even know where to start.
We see a lot of beggars when we go through Luzhou. Limbless people. One guy with severe gangreen. Another man with severe burns to his upper body and literally no face.
about a month ago, I saw a disabled man lying in front of the bank, he was screaming his lungs out. You wanna know why? Some *&^%&*&*& was taunting him by poking and prodding him while 4 of her co workers laughed.
I really wanted to say something. If only I could speak Chinese. The best I could do was glare at her. not that it did much.

I see a lot of people sleeping outdoors in this neck of the woods in the Summer. I don't think they're all homeless; I think they just don't have air conditioning.
Late one night in Shanghai I was out for a walk. A tiny bed had been moved out onto the sidewalk, and an obviously poor, probably migrant-worker couple were fast asleep on it. Despite the muggy heat, as they slept they had entwined themselves into an embrace. It was the sweetest, tenderest thing I'd ever seen and I had to marvel at them for a moment before walking on.
Love indeed overcomes everything.

Absolutely not, Sir, and I resent the implication. I most certainly would not steal what few possessions these unfortunate people had. I merely fondled the wife a bit.
