OK, i need some advice .
I want to take my lady with me to england in april - permeantly.
I want to take her to England. I have been with her for nearly a year now.
I just want to know peoples experience of bringing people/friends/other halves over to you home country - especially england. I have a feeling that England has CLAMPED down on letting ANY foreigners in.
Im thinking of a student visa at the moment - but I have no idea what is an acceptable amount of money that the government needs to see...
HELP!!!

Here's your starting point. www.medhunter.com/candlicinfo/visa-info/ukembassyindex.htmlContact your embassy in China and make some general inquiries. I'm told, but I'm not sure, that it's not just a matter of how much the process costs; there may also be a need for a person to sponsor her stay, which means someone with close links to her (you) who has the financial capability to make sure she can survive without help from your government services. Check out the embassy website first. There may be information you can dowload - you'll probably need Adobe to download pdf files. www.adobe.com/main.htmlOnce you've done that it's best to make a call first rather than send an email. That's where you can ask all the tricky questions. Then use email for the formal application or clarifications. The process can take quite a while and I doubt April will be feasible. Once you've got the details you'll need to provide quite a lot of information, your lady will need to have a medical (your own medical inquiries into her...ahem...health do not count) and it'll take some time for them to process everything. Ask them how long on average it takes from start to finish of the application process.
