This brings up an excellent idea: marriage auctions. Presumeably, women would go for a lot more than men, being increasingly in short supply. Some enterprising mandarin could set price conventions.

Her family's 2 provinces away: +500
4 provinces away: +1200
Related to someone in government: +1800
Related to someone at a foreign language school: -2000.

Perhaps I should shift my RRSPs (I could have them ) into White Slavery Mutual Funds.
