hey all. been a long time since ive been around. blah blah. the usual. being in china sure has put a lot of pressure on my nervous system and lately seems I have been under the gun and need a rest. beijing is too overpopulated. qingdao sounds nice but too expensive this time of year. ill go teaching next summer out in the countryside for a summer camp. for now i have to settle with 6 days in the outskirts of beijing and do some fishing and hiking. i'd like to hear about your experiences with summer camps and living in quiet remote areas of china.

Cheers, dude! Mine is simple: working my ass off at the same school. Oh, the memories.

Summer camp Intense. I think I do love children. I have learnt a lot from the kids at this camp as far as teaching goes. They are all little darlings I have one more week to go and I have seen progress over these last 3 weeks. Summer camp is not for the faint hearted. What I have really liked is they show me respect. They know that I am right there with them. I will certainly do it again next year. The more you do it the better it gets

Working my tits off too. Post graduates off to Europe are a test of steel. Produce or what?
But it's great. I think God loves me.

These summer camps are a macho teaching: gruelling schedule, high stress, surprises on short or no notice... I've done so much innovating on the fly.
But God, am I ever burning out! 13 days of teaching left...
