Hi guys,
Does anyone know what can be sent through the mail. I ignored Ruth's advice about the Buckley's cough syrup because I never experienced much coughing in Canada. But I kinda feel like the cough is getting into my lungs here, hasn't stopped for days. Can medication, of this sort be sent to me?
Also, can I send Cd's home with photos on them, will the post office allow this?
Thanx

No idea about the cough syrup - but I know chocolate biscuits can be sent through the mail to China, along with licorice and other nibbly things. I have sent DVDs and CDs through the mail no dramas. Previous university was a breeze - trot to P.O. show them the discs - preferrrably in a small disk holder to save weight - and post. Here is a little more difficult - I need to have someone in authority certify that I don't have any top secret info on them (like I have that much access!) plus show receipts. Then it's easy! Chinese cough medicine tastes foul but seems to work and fairly rapidly - plus there are lozenges etc here as well. Watermelon Frost seems to work pretty well for me.

That's good stuff, Slim. Tastes good, too, which is a pleasant plus for Chinese medecine.

Yep. Is that the same as the honey throat medicine in the jar? It is pretty damn good, even when your throat is highly inflamed. I got a dose of the dreaded lurgey or something one visit to HK on the first day. I woke up after the initial greetings booze up and could barely breathe let alone swallow, and I got given that stuff. Worked a treat.
Couple of weeks I was back to normal.
The wife swears at it too. Sorry, swears by it.
For regular minor talking type sore throats I just use the lozenges, plenty of those around, and I brought a 500ml bottle of Benadryl, heh. Plus, somewhere, I have recipes for throat stuff on one of my hard drives, probably can get the ingredients here. Have to have a look for it sometime. Cold water or any cold drink can help reduce swelling, too.

Thanks guys,
Thanx for pic Slim, I will go to the pharmacy right now. I am losing my voice. I think it is a combo of pollution, talking loud and smoking. They are burning trash in the back of my on a constant basis, huge things of trash. We have complained so the whole area is being plowed over and moved to some other poor soul's back area.
I have a huge whole in my laundry room window, which I just noticed the other day when my fly invasion began. After the burning they left the trash and came to visit me.
This is also the reason I got those million bugs and bites. The window is being fixed next month tomorrow.
