I have an important PDF document to download. When I tried it said it couldn't because of something missing in adobe reader. I deleted adobe reader and redownloaded Adobe reader. Then it said it couldn't download file because adobe needed flashget to download. I downloaded flashget. NOw it says flashget doesn't have the correct URL. or URL missing or whatever WTF HELP

where is this pdf? You don't need acrobat to download it per say. If you have a link, all you need to do is right-click it and choose the "download" or "save file to my computer" option

Starting to sound like there was a problem with the original e-mailing. Might have to request a resend.
As stated above you don't need Adobe Reader etc. simply to download the file. Those only come into play when you want to view the document.

The world is screwie.
Now I can't open anything with adobe in my computer. I'm going to have to get the technician out to fix the darn computer.

No, you said uninstalled it. Now you have to reinstall it. Don't need a techie, just try downloading pdf reader to your computer, install from the downloaded file.
You should actually still have the executable program somwhere from your last install, wherever you save your downloads to. If not, get it again, and reinstall.

I checked in thinking about blabbing (needlessly) about almost finishing something important but hey here goes... I am not sure what your computer skill level is so take that into consideration when reading this post.
Another option (if you are using a PC):
Open My Computer then right click on your hard drive icon almost always labeled "Local Disk (C:)" move down the menu and select properties.
There will be several tabs across the top of the dialogue box. Select "Tools" Click on "Check Now"
Another dialog box will pop up. Check the top "Automatically fix file system errors" Then click "start"
Yet another dialog box will appear. It will have a long message stating that this diagnostic fix will occur when systems restarted... Click "Yes"
Then restart your system.
Once it finishes it will enter normal start up cycle.
See if that fixes things.

When you got rid of the old adobe reader did you make sure you threw the old preferences out also?
