Zhoucun, also near Zibo, is a silk manufacturing centre. This is the printing plant of one factory. This printer has 10 colours being screened together. From what I remember about screen printing, black is usually the last colour printed. It can hide little flaws and mis-registration. These blokes print black first! Miles and miles of Thomas prints being folded. USAnian flags after the heating process. . Re-fuelling the "Thomas" line. Screens being prepared. One small section of a whole floor of stored screens. If you think all these industrial photos are leading up to something, you may very well be right!!

Once again, great pics, George. So, leading up to something....is Babe on a factory health and safety inspection tour? Looking forward to more pics.

Wow, you sure get into some interesting places.
BTW - the second 'picture' is missing some characters at the front of [img.. and all I get is the partial link, no picture.
Leading up to something: Let me guess - you are entering into a business relationship with these guys to proof read any English work they do.

Well spotted Ruth.
And to follow on from the proof reading maybe making sure that they got the correct design for the Stars and Stripes.
Homer, quizzing Apu, "Now, we know the 13 stripes are for luck, but what are the 47 stars for?"

Indeed, well-spotted Ruth I didn't notice even when I previewed the original post. All that was missing was [i at the beginning.

Ahh yes indeed, it is all starting to make sense. When I read the thing about Thomas prints, I thought maybe this was some technical name, devised by some guy Thomas, for silk screens or whatever. But no, you meant the blue choo-choo train with the face on the front. Any sign of the fat controller, or better still, Ringo?
