Here's another place I've gotten a tentative offer from, CCIEE in Shanghai. They send teachers out to local schools in Shanghai where grades 1-3 are taught primarily. On one hand this sounds a bit questionable, on the other it seems to be the only sort of offers coming out of Shanghai. A search around for info has produced a disgruntled post or two as well as some positive ones... pretty much the standard for any school I've looked up!
The basic info... 8,000-10,500 RMB/month depending on classes taught (between 22-30) Airfare reimbursement Help finding an apartment (i.e. they don't pay for it) Medical coverage, visa, etc

This one conjures up some very distant and vaguely negative bells...maybe negative just because they're a recruiter for local public schools.
To which I'd add: my advice is ALWAYS to avoid recruiters and work directly with the schools. Always.
Is 22-30 the number of hours taught per week? If so, that's pretty damned high...
8000 with no apartment in Shanghai is ridiculous at any number of hours. 10K is more like it, but not great, and certainly not worth 30 classroom a week...
In short: got to be better to be had in Shanghai. Keep looking. Are you using the AsiaXpat site?

I was referred to them via regular poster on another messageboard. He was frank about the school, stating that he couldn't comment on the position that I'd be receiving as his was far more senior and entailed very different responsibilities. I think I'm going to take a Shenzhen position anyway, I enjoy those warm winters
