Hey Woza,
I have been looking and sending resumes. I got about 20 responses, but some seem sleazy. A few from Uni's but they share have winters. One in Jiangsu, two in Henen, I also got three strange letters from some guy called Robert Phillip, he claims to be Canadian and is being overly kind. He is trying to talk me into working in Taiwan. He sounds Canadian, but, you never know....
I need to take a few days away from the computer because I have been constantly checking here, there and everywhere, it's starting to get to me a bit. I think I'm spending about 8 hours a day searching around.
Every school that sends me something I try to get as much info as I can on it, but lol, I bet you probablly could have guessed that.
Anyone ever heard of Robert Phillips or Homeland Recruiting.
Hey Con how did you conduct your job hunt. This could be a good thread I think. Best ways of going about it, that sort of stuff.
How come you are willing to try an English Mill, do you not mind them? Because as soon as I figure someone is a recruiter or some school is an English Mill, I don't reply. Maybe I should, what do you think?

It's interesting when I got the first job in China I didn't even think there were other alternatives. Maybe I didn't want to know and just went for it. I can now understand your confusion..

Hey Ruth, If you look around there are quite a few options out there, it's kinda freaking me out. In the last two days I have gotten many responses, but who knows, have to see how the rest comes up. I really want to be in the South. Closer for travel, to the places I want to go, and being Canadian I am extremely sick of winter. I just haven't figured out if I want more rural or more urban. I want both, both have pros and cons. I really wanted this job in Zhuhai, close to Macau, and I applied quite a while ago, but received no answer. They just got back to me. I have talked to some of the students who have gone there and they loved it. Actually they are the ones who recommended it to me. But this morning I checked my email and have another offer from Hangzhou, which is another place I would really like to be. So, who knows, see what happens from here, they may not pan through, or they may. I have been listening to all the advice real well because I would hate to get stuck in some poohole that may ruin my whole experience or give me a bad taste in the mouth. That would suck. Better safe then sorry, I say, and even then you can never be too safe. LOL, am I driving you yet. I can just hear you, holy poo, this woman is m'kaying paranoid. Nah, lol, not in real life, but in China.........

Hey Con I have just come back from a job interview with my recruiter and when I mentioned I was going to you town he said don't go, it's a dump and as he tapped his forehead said the people are real slow. Great now I am convinced I want to go. How many times have our Chinese hosts told us about a city saying this place is beautiful and we think they are off their rockers once we get there. By the way my bus leaves at 2.10pm on Friday. Is there anything I can bring that you can't get there?
Happy happy joy joy happy happy joy

Check your PMs, kiddo: I've got the horrible spectre of Beijing in my head, and am convinced you will, somehow, end up wandering the streets of Dashiqiao and be kidnapped for medical experiments. All a-tingle in anticipation!

Update, to keep this thread from moulding over: -Still need FTs -Still a bitchin' school -Still a pokey, laid-back town -Still within weekender distance of Dalian
With Nate's site down, it's gonna be harder than ever to find someone. Well, on to Tesall.
